About the authors: Mary and Rich Chamberlin are a husband-and-wife writing team. When they are not writing, Mary works as a freelance television producer and director and Rich as an engineer. Mary and Rich have traveled extensively in Kenya and Tanzania. They make their home in Naperville, Illinois.
About the artist: Julia Cairns started painting in Botswana, where she lived for nine years. She has also illlustrated We All Went on Safari, which won an Oppenheim Toy Portfolio Gold Award. Julia lives with her family in northern California.
